Hockey fans from across Canada and around the world continue to pay tribute to the Humboldt Broncos hockey club and the 15 team members that passed away in a bus crash on Friday.
There have been many hashtags that went viral online as the tributes kept pouring in on social media. However, the #PutYourStickOut and #PutYourSticksOut hashtags have hockey fans more than willing to leave their hockey sticks out for the fallen members of the Broncos.
It all started on Sunday as TSN reporter Brian Munz received a text from a friend showing a picture of a lone hockey stick left out on a porch with the message saying, “Leaving it out on the porch tonight. The boys might need it… wherever they are.” Brian invited hockey fans to do the same.
Hockey fans everywhere have been more than happy to oblige. For more on this story, CLICK HERE.
