When the heat is on why do people still insist on taking their pets in the car with them, parking and leaving the animal in the vehicle where the temps can rapidly approach 40 c or much higher?
It’s clear people are not getting the message that this could mean death for the creature you are presumably loving and protecting. It’s not summer until Thursday and the BCSPCA has already received 400 calls about pets in hot cars. Last year there were 1,000 over the entire summer.
