BEVERAGE TASTINGS
Start the evening off with 2 hours of assorted wine, beer and spirit tastings from over 13 local craft vendors, including Smugglers Trail Caskworks, Dead Frog Brewery, Steamworks Brewery, Roots & Wings Distillery, Mainland Whiskey, Hester Creek Estate Winery, Arterra Wines & MORE!
DINNER
A slow-roasted pulled pork sandwich with a crafted potato salad, kindly provided by Black Walnut Catering Co.; a division of Raving Gamer Bistro!
ENTERTAINMENT
Performing for us will be local country artists Amy Bakker, Tony Stevens and Karen Lee Batten! Tony Stevens’ hit single “Whiskey in Colorado”, was just nominated for multiple 2024 Canadian Country Music Awards & has hit the Top 10 for iHeart Country Canada! Karen Lee Batten is an 8-time BCCMA Female artist of the year and was a Top Ten Finalist on Canadian Idol. With hit song after hit song landing her at the top of the Country music scene, she is ready to join us in celebration of our mentorship programs.
LATE NIGHT
Late night pizza and sweet treats from the delicious Candy Curio are also include in the ticket price. There will be a cash bar available, and a variety of games & engaging activities including: Pool, Corn Hole, Point Pong, 50/50, Raffles & more!
Their goal is to bring the Langley community together for a fun, relaxed and intimate evening and raise important funds to empower youth through mentorship. 100% of the proceeds from this event are used to fund and support the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Langley 1:1 and group mentorship programs throughout Langley.
They create mentoring relationships that change young people’s lives. With training and professional support, Big Brothers Big Sisters mentors form strong positive relationships with their mentees that express care, challenge growth, provide support, share power, and expand possibilities.
The mentoring programs that they offer provide youth with a role model to talk to and share the experiences of growing up with. Through regular outings, a relationship is developed, which is built on trust and common interests, and is supported by our experienced case-workers. The result is a life-changing experience for both the mentor and the mentee.
By attending or sponsoring our event, you help them:
- Continue facilitating and monitoring the mentoring relationships within our agency
- Addressthe growing and changing need for healthy, safe, and meaningful mentorship for our youth
- Expandthe reach of our programs by recruiting new volunteers and serving more families within Langley
- Provide healthy snacks, games, and activities for children in our programs
- Understandthe needs of our community and how we can best provide mentorship to our youth
- Explorenew ways that we can connect with our youth and provide them with intentional, meaningful mentorship
- Ignite the potential that is in all Children through safe and healthy connections
