Coldest Night of the Year

On Saturday, February 28, Surrey Urban Mission will once again host the annual Coldest Night of the Year fundraising walk.  For the second year in a row, this family-friendly national event will take place in the heart of Whalley in support of local charities serving people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness.

Coldest Night of the Year takes place in communities across Canada, uniting people for a powerful winter walk that raises funds and awareness for vulnerable neighbours in need.

Community members can participate by:

  • Leading a fundraising team
  • Joining a fundraising team
  • Walking with us on event day
  • Volunteering at the event

The Whalley event begins with registration at 4:00 PM at the Surrey Welcome Hub (enter from the rear of the building), located at 13545 King George Blvd.

At 5:00 PM, participants will set off together on a two-kilometre walk around Whalley. The evening concludes with a light dinner and time for connection at approximately 6:00 PM.

This event offers a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together, meet others, and learn more about the vital work being carried out by Surrey Urban Mission throughout the year.
