With the release of ‘Toys in the Attic’ in 1975, Boston-based Aerosmith scored their first real commercial success and established their blues-rock sound of the 1970s.
‘Toys in the Attic’ was actually the first record where the band wrote everything from scratch and was their first real studio record. The time and effort paid off in spades with MASSIVE hits like ‘Walk This Way’ and ‘Sweet Emotion’. But outside of those juggernaut anthems of rock, ‘Toys’ proved the band had progressed, grown, and were ready to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with some of the great acts in rock.
