The 2018 Climb for Alzheimer’s will be held on September 30, 2018. If you register and raise $250 by August 31, you will be entered in a draw to win a $100 gift card at Smoke and Bones restaurant in North Vancouver.
For thousands of families in British Columbia, dementia is an uphill journey. It takes courage to make it up a mountain. The Climb for Alzheimer’s is a fun, invigorating hike up the Grouse Grind® – but it’s also an opportunity to help the Alzheimer Society of B.C. achieve its vision of a truly dementia-friendly society, where people living with dementia, their caregivers and their families are acknowledged, welcomed and included.
September 30, 2018 marks the seventh annual Climb. Teams fundraise and hike the Grouse Grind® together on event day. Don’t have anyone to hike with? No problem – individual participants can still sign up and we’ll match you with an established team where you can meet like-minded people who want to make a difference.
Each participant sets a suggested fundraising target of $250 or more and we provide an online fundraising page that allows you to share your story and collect donations.
Do you want to participate in the Climb without doing the Grouse Grind®? Take part in the Summit Stroll. Participants of the Summit Stroll will make their way around the exhibits at the peak of Grouse Mountain. Visit the bear habitat, take in a film at the Theatre in the Sky, or simply take a leisurely stroll around the different walking paths and exhibits.
No matter whether you do the hike or the Stroll, you are helping people affected by dementia across the province.
