Blending their traditional Texas blues guitar with synths and sequencers, the 1983 release of ‘Eliminator’ by ZZ Top brought the band their first real taste of fame.
From ‘Gimme All Your Lovin’ to ‘Sharp Dressed Man’ to ‘Legs’ the album itself was designed for each song to be able to stand alone, meaning no filler songs.
And the iconic car that appears on the album? Well, that’s The Eliminator itself, a 1933 Ford Coupe that Billy Gibbons (lead vocals / guitar) had made into a Hot Rod.
